I have a feeling that 2008 will be a good year for the BPC. Sam's show in March starts the season off, which promises to be a good show, followed by Garry's comp in Port Talbot on 12 April, which will be supported by the boys from Leeds as well as the usual crowd, and Mark's annual event in Slough towards the end of April which is always a well-run show and is likely to play host to a number of novices this year.
We then have the British in July which gets bigger each year and I can't see why this year should be any different. For those BPC members who like lifting in the GPC, they have the opportunity to become World Champion in their own back yard as the Championships are being run in Birmingham. Not to forget Andy's attempt to regain his records in Florida, accompanied by a strong British contingent. This is promising to be a year to remember for BPC lifters.
Does anyone else share my optimism?
