Happy New Year to everyone.

Just a quick message advising you of the current qualifiers for the 2008 British.
I do not have yet all the details to enable Carol and I to send the Membership renewal letters out. As soon as I have it the letters will be sent to you by post and I will ask Justin if he can post it to the BPC website.

Welsh Championship : 12th April

Southern Championship: 27th April

If Sam from Ireland reads this, please can you let me know the Irish Qualifier.

Also it would be great if someone from the Midlands or Northern Area could volunteer to run a Midlands/Northern Championship Qualifier. We can't just depends on Garry Bamsey and Mark Cullimore to run qualifiers, it is unfair to ask them to do it every year. We known they do a fantastic job at it but I am sure they would love to have a break and concentrate on their lifting for once. So please lets have some more promoters. Thank you

Big thank you to Garry and Mark again to have agreed to do the 2008 qualifier.

All the best to all of you for 2008.
Myriam, Dave and Phoebe Mannering.

A Lancs / Yorkshire / Mids venue would be nice, otherwise count me in the Welsh and Bulldogs open in Sept (first show attended last year and thought it was great mate :))

Northern Ireland Qualifier 15th March 2008.

Hi Kyle
Please can you send me a private message with all the details of the competition, entry fee, weigh in time, comp time and venue. I will add a entry form to our pack and I will send some membership form to Sam for all your lifters to join the BPC.
Thanks
Myriam

I did the Open in Windsor last year as my first BPC event and it couldn't have been a friendly and better organised competition.

I do agree that the BPC would really benefit from a Northern/Midlands competition to go with the Open, Welsh, Northern Irish and Southern.

There has got to be a load of lifters North of Watford who would compete in that. There's not a BPO event in this region either for some reason.

I'll be at Gary's Welsh in April, injuries willing - be nice to lift on home soil again.
