In the same sort of topic as Andy Bolton`s,what progress have you made in the last year?

Squat
Jan 2006 PB:140kg x 5-belt and knee wraps(did get it up to 155 x 5 earliar in 2006 but it plummeted down to this:confused:)
Jan 2007 PB:174.2kg x 2-belt and knee wraps

Bench
Jan 2006 PB:112.5kg x 5
Jan 2007 PB:116.4kg x 5

Deadlift
Jan 2006 PB:163.2kg x 5(with straps and belt)
Jan 2007 PB:187.8kg x 2(chalk and belt only:) )

Those are raw numbers anyway, havent really worn any of my gear since the brits for more than a coule of sets here and there.

James, is that 210x4 squat without wraps? If so and it's to proper depth it's fucking good! Even if it's with wraps it's still pretty good. Well done!

2007 was my first year of training and it probably took me about 8 months to get be able to do it properly.

Start of 2007

Bench, probably about 50kg
Dead, started DLing in September, about 80kg
Squat, 65kg

End of 2007

Bench 70kg
Dead 120kg
Squat 95kg

Thanks mate, it was without wraps, just a really tight buckle belt :). All the reps were about 1" below parallel. It was supposed to be 210 2x2 at the end of a peaking cycle, god knows where the 4 came from. I walked it out too.

Thanks mate, it was without wraps, just a really tight buckle belt :). All the reps were about 1" below parallel. It was supposed to be 210 2x2 at the end of a peaking cycle, god knows where the 4 came from. I walked it out too.


how much do u estimate you are getting from the 2xply suit?

I maxed with belt and wraps about 6 weeks after the brits and got 230 and it was hard, harder than the 317 was in my equipment so I reckon I get about 100kg or therabouts. Probably because my wide stance sucks for raw, but it does give a nice carryover.

Unequipped bench, 145kg - was going ok til shoulder gave out, then did a easy 145kg in october, but aiming for 165-170 mid 2008
