hi ya everyone, just joined up as iam going to start strength/ powerlifting training, i have been weight training for about 8 years on and off now but have always trained for bodybuilding and not really for strength or powerlifting, but have decided to make the change and train just for strength, my brother bought me the andy bolton dvd for christmas which is going to help me a lot in the way i train and the correct tecniques to use,i havnt trained for a while so i will be starting from fresh which is probably going to help me, i hope to get a lot of info and help on here as it looks like a really good forum to be on with lots of info. been training for a couple of weeks now and these are my stats
squat 135kg for 4 reps
deadlift 165kg for 2 reps
bench press 125kg for 3 reps
the most i have squated before was 205kg but on a smith machine and only went as low as a bench, the most i have benched is 135kg for 1 but again on the smith machine and the most i have deadlifted was about 175kg for 1.
my aim for now is to get up to or past 4 plates a side on each of the lifts, i think i will probably get to 4 plates on squat before the bench as i have naturally big and strong legs it will probably take some time for my bench to get up as i have long arms and wide shoulders, and my dead lift isnt far off now.

I would have thought so too.

Even if you have naturally skinny and weedy legs, and naturally huge and scary upper body then you'll still hit 4 plates per side on squats before bench.
