Hey guys - this is a follow up to my last Mil Press Video where some people asked me how much I could max.

I don't think this was my max as it was quite easy but it's as far as I really wanted to go today.

The vid was taken about 20 minutes ago!!

????

Were you being sarcastic originally - or do you think I'm being sarcastic????

I'm not a powerlifter so I don't know that much about the sport but don't you have like a 200kg bench?????

I've only got 155kg and we're about the same weight!!!!!! Although I dont have a shirt thingy!!! :)

No, I wasn't being sarcastic, though I am a sarcastic prick...LOL
I liked the powerlifting god sarcasm.

Iv'e pressed 205kg in competition and 220kg in the gym, but that ain't over my head.
I liked your style, looked effortless. I love the clean and press. It's great to watch the oly lifters at Empire throw some big weights over their head.

I used to be an Oly lifter. I was amazingly lucky to find that my girlfriend's Dad was John Lear, the President of the BAWLA.

He saw that I might have potential as a lifter so trained me up - unfortunately, I busted my shoulder so had to quit, I'd just qualified for the GB Junior Squad at the time... :( Bummer!!!!!!!

Now I just train for fun, not that seriously.

Do you think I have potential?

Yes I do.

I'm no expert but I think your technique needs tweaking a little, nothing training in the right surroundings won't fix.

You reverse curl the weight from about the moment it passes your knees. Try not to use your arms and keep the weight as close to your body as possible, almost touching your shirt.

powerlifting god !! i agree

It was a good lift - di you use any leg drive or was it a strict military style ??

on a similar note,if you dont mind god, is there a place for powercleans in powerlifting training ??

they dont half make u blow.

Yeah, Power cleans will help to give you the speed for the deadlift, help with the acceleration of the bar from the floor.

I think it's easier to pull a power clean fast. With a deadlift I tend to anticipate the lockout and slow just before.
