I was pleased with the fights - hughes v penn was pretty good, i used to love matt but wanted bj to win, his jujitsu was amazing !!! he deffo had the mark of matt hughes, pity he gasses big time and just layed down to get beaten !!

mike swick seems to have come from nowhere, as i rememeber him in TUF1 he was mediocre - now he seems ready to take on big rich !!

shame about the english lad, he looked like he wanted to put on a good show and got caught out by the little fella !!!

oh and rashad evans looked awsome too, dana seems to have pulled a blinder with the TUF stuff - gets the undercard fighters more famous than the headline !!!

Never heard of the English guy before.

I thought the Penn fight was OK, Matt did well to come back into it, but I think if BJ had not gassed he may have taken it, as he was picking Matt off at will.

Swick was very good indeed, I want to know when they are going to put Bisping on? Unless he is injured?

What does gassed mean in this context? I've got all sorts of things coming to mind!!

Is that tough little fella still fighting, the one who drops huge bodyweight "Diesel" i think his nickname?

Gassed = fucked, lack of cardio fitness :)

Yes, Joe Riggs, (diesel) is still fighting.

Hughes is the man. He weathered the storm in the second round where a lot of fighters would have tapped. Youd think that BJ would have the best cardio looking at their body shapes, Hughes is carrying about 10Kgs more muscle mass than Penn and looks like he would total 700kg in a powerlifting comp. He's going to do the same to St. Pierre although St. Pierre is an unbelievable fighter too.

Argree with skull once Penn had failed to get arm lock and strangle on Hughes looked the winner he looked more focuse and fitter and more determined it looked like not only did Penn run out of steam he gave up also,I dont think GP will beat him either asnow Matt looks the complete package his striking has improved since the last fight and he caught Penn with some hard punches,

Hughes is a bit of a hero to me, incredable fighter and strongest man pound for pound in the UFC. I think he just trained harder than BJ Penn, which is what i expected after his last defeat.

Swick is looking like hot stuff, but still lacks the experiance to take on Rich.

I think Rich needs to worry about Silva, not Swick, I'm not convinced he'll still be champ after they fight, although I do think Rich is an awesome fighter.

Penn seperated a rib near the end of the second round apparently, kind of makes it hard to breathe!

Johnny, Franklin is fighting Anderson silva, the boy who took 49seconds to demolish Chris Leben a few months ago.
Franklin will need to be consuming a few of the old Tuna fish and sprite smoothies to stand up with this guy. Should be a great fight, cant wait.

Yes Anderson Silva, the one who kicked Lee 'I'm getting fucked in a Morrocan prison' Murray around the cage, at Cage Rage 8.

He is a truley class fighter, he has had a few in Pride, have a look at his profile on Sherdog, and you probably have a few of his fights.

A class act.
