I was going to enter the BAWLA unequipped bench competition but I decided I wouldn't be able to qualify in time, and I don't want to do any other competitions until after my finals.

I'll have finished at uni by the end of June. Does anyone know of any bench only competitions happening from then on? I lift raw at the moment and though I plan on lifting shirted eventually I'll still be lifting raw for at least the rest of this year.

Ideally, I'd like to go to a fairly small comp, and it'd have to be one that didn't require decent lifts to get in, as I'm currently only benching 110 at a bodyweight of 106 (although I hope to be lifting at least 120 by the start of July).

Any suggestions? I live in Milton Keynes, I'll be working in London and I don't drive, so something in the south would be best!

Cheers

We usually have about 4 WSA Welsh competitions here in Wales every year. There's one coming up next month and there'll probably be one towards the middle or end of the summer, I can keep you posted on those if you're interested. They're very informal and would be an easy introduction into competing.

I can't do the one next month, but I'll compete in the one over the summer if I can make it. Cheers. :)
