I never thought a bar would snap, always had the impression it would bend first. Must be a cheap bar, or an imperfection in the steel.
This is how to snap a bar: http://www.dieselcrew.com/VIDEOS/dcblooper.wmv
They were using some ludicrous band tension, like two doubled purples, two greens and a blue (or something similar).

Nuts! I would have expected it to bend first aswell but then with all those bands wrapped around it, it must have hit the support bar with a lot of force.
Can there be any benefit from using so many bands - why don't they just add more weight and use less bands?

Tight shirt?! The dude was squatting (well, sort of, actually just unracking).
I think I get what you mean, but I also think the best way to simulate wearing a tight shirt (or suit) is to just fucking wear one!
I'm not having a pop at you, but rather the Diesel Crew who appear to be a set of bellends! :p

Just think if he had put more weight on there him might of come off alot worse. If that was me i would be well f£&ked off that i had just snapped my bar. Still a good claim too fame saying you broke a bar:mrgreen:

Looks like it snapped after he dropped it onto support bar close to where the bands were placed, alot of pressure on one point plus the impact of bar hitting support didna help !

I think they were trying to simulate a ridiculous weight yoke pick up.
Worked a treat ,nearly decapitated his mate.
Good clip:rolleyes:
