Nothing like sticking it on 'prime time'(!)
It's good they are showing it, but who the fuck (apart from people like us) is going to see it?
And you have to wait a week inbetween heets.
Ch5 programming is not that good that they could not have squeezed it in every day at 5-7 for a week surely?

My Sky guide gave the info for the triathalon which was on after it, and it ran late, so the Sky+ missed the end.
Apart from that I thought it was a great show, nice to see some real strength events, that 'railway carry' was a mental weight, Terry was amazing the way he just ran with it. The inclusion of the inch dumbell was good too.

Same thing happened to me mate!
You're right, it was a very good show and Terry was amazing on the farmers frame walk thing - and on the stones - and on the conans circle!
Dale and Dean also had a very good first day and I'm looking forward to next week's show now!

I think you've got a huge future ahead of you in the sport Terry, didn't you say somewhere that you've only been doing strongman since around March this year?

Let's hope my Sky+ records it ALL this time - I missed the last couple of minutes on the last one.
So are you going to try harder in this episode then Dale or are you still going to try and push some old bloke out of the circle with a big stick?

I was equally impressed by the 2nd show, good events again.
That squat could have done with some higher safety stops, looked quite dangerous.
Terry, what happened with the deadlift hold? I thought you'd piss it after the way you sprinted with that 385 on the 1st day.
And the Sky+ got the end of it too (fucking thing I'm on my 3rd box now).

Less of it rob it was a big stick, lol!
I hope your going to do a couple of strongman comps this year?

Yes mate, I'm definately going to do at least one or two next year - I'm gonna take that Wales Strongest Man title off you for a start! ;-)
I watched the 2nd "episode" of this programme last night, you looked awesome on that squat mate - 330 looked easy! How did it compare to a regular squat with normal weights and a bar, was it harder or easier?
Dean was unlucky with that 310, it looked fine to me!
That small Irish guy (Paul Roberts???) - he's got amazing strength for his size hasn't he!

I look forward to the challenge you old pisshead, lol!
I find it a little easier because it takes a bit of your back out and you dont have to balance the bar! as you know by best ass to grass squat on a bar is 330kg at the moment but I think I could have gone as far as 360kg on glenns kit!
Gary is crazy strict on the squat(its basically olympic squat depth)!
Paul is a little power house and great guy he had me in stitches all the time I was there!

I was a bit worried about the squat being the opening weight was only a tad under my best ever squat and saw all the other tallish guys getting buried at the bottom, this is what I'm gonna use as my excuse on the depth issue, LOL
Deadlift hold well without sounding like a t*sser I didn't need to lift it but was told I had to attempt it (something to do with sponsors logo's on the car) I was hoping to win the winch then I would have definately been in the final and would have sat out the squat as well.
