I guess what motivates you changes with time. Initially I wanted to see how I compared to others. I won a couple of comps and got hooked on winning so my motivation became to be the best.
Although I'm still competing it's not such a big deal anymore. I still have a few goals that I want to attain, so I think that probably keeps me going.

Initially last year it was just to see what I could do....I thought I would only do police competitions. Then I met Bulldog!! Since then my goals have changed and now what motivates me is to firstly win the British then the goals will change again!
Initially I was driven by the 00. That is 300kg squat, 200kg bench and 300kg deadlift. I have now done this so it has now to be incereased. 50kg on each will do for now.....lol

LOL... :)
I got motivated last year while I was training for a Bodyuilding show, but then I started to trim down, during that time I missed the real hardcore training. When I saw guys like Del, Nathan, Mark, Lee, Rob & many more at the Gallery training for the British I what wanted piece of the action. Since I've started I love it, I have found that I put on some size, but feel good.
I've got to say, this is a really good site, I have been on other forums which are "Shite" :D

I know what you mean about this being a good site BigD, there aren't any "wannabe's" or "chavs" here that claim to do this and that because just about every member somehow either knows, knows of or knows another member that knows most of the other members! (hope I didn't lose you there ;-))
I also find that to be a very good motivational factor too, because it's always nice to post a new PB - especially on a forum where at least SOMEONE knows who you are!
