hey del how do you rate front squats as you used to be a weightlifter do you still do them and what have you done ??????

Front squats are a great exercise. I don't do them much any more. The most i ever done was 3x250 2x260 2x270 1x280 (raw no belt) in the same session. That was at the end of a heavy snatch and clean and jerk session. I lot of powerlifters would find it hard to do front squat due to flexibility. unless you have good flexiblity the risk out weighs the benifit of the exercise. (that's only my personal opinion).

good fronts i have done them in the past and think i am going to get them in my program again. i do like them and if you gonna do them then as you say raw is best. i find you can explode from the bottom good for speed !!!

That's awesome front squatting Del. I was impressed when I saw Mick Maloney front squat 201kg a few years back, but 280 is something else.
