Any idea of what size bands I should buy. Im thinking about the "master set" which has mini, supermini, small, medium, large. I dont see the point in buying the extra large ones at my stage.
any of you use bands?

Good advice above. You obviously have good raw strength and with good form this would only improve. Looking at what you are doing I would suggest 1 rep would be around about...
Bench 140kg (much, much harder to put that pause in)
Squat 230kg with depth
Deadlift 230kg (well 200kg x 5 is excellent)
That was about what I was when I first attended Genesis and now things are going through the roof! So keep going....

Thanks for the advice, I will try and do a 1RM though it may be tough since I have up until now been training with high reps. Will post back.

Of all the powerlifters in the UK I have trained with and spoken to, not one uses bands. Seems very popular in a lot of camps of the USA.
I like using chains because you still stay in the groove and hit the top end of the movement, bands kind of pull you arkward and change your groove a little.

I measured my 1RM today. I put a small bench underneath me which when my rear touches it is definately parallel, and with a pause (although you dont need a pause for a squat right?). i lowered really slowly, then when I felt the bench, I stopped and pushed up.
It might not be exact but I think its not significantly wrong.
Thanks for the advice so far.

I would have my belt on whenever i get over 150kg....I would definately put it on before the need for knee wraps.
The squats you described are called box squats and are very good for squat training and if done properly you pause on the box for a second. Move the box and ask someone to watch....when they see the weight you have on the bar they will only be too happy to help.

Im going to do box squats for speed, and just get somebody to watch me without a box for max effort stuff. That way I can always drop below the pins if I get stuck.
