Dean Bolt's, Wales Strongest Man competition is this Monday.
It will be an awesome comp and it looks like the weather is good for a very exciting day out.
The comp will be held at:
Peak Physique,
Rhymney River Brdige Road Ind Est,
off Newport Rd,
Cardiff
If your in the area, or fancy a travel down to Cardiff, you won't be disappointed at this show of pure power and strength.

Dean's had to drop out due to an injury that he picked up in the World strength Challenge in Ireland a couple of weeks ago. My money's on Big Dale Norris to clean up now - that guy's got awesome static strength and looks like another Glenn Ross in the making!
Here are the events for the big boys:
SQUAT FOR REPS 260KG
SILVER DOLLAR DEADLIFT FOR MAX WEIGHT(no straps) 280kg to start
INCLINE LOG PRESS FOR REPS 120KG
SWORD HOLD 12KG EACH HAND
TRUCK PULL FOR 30M
MEDLAY- TYRE FLIP(350KG) X4,FARMERS WALK(135KG) 15M,ATLAS STONE(130KG)
There's also an under 105kg class aswell I think but I'm not sure of the events.

Dean's had to pull out due to an injury to his shoulder that he picked up at the world strength challenge in Ireland a couple of weeks back. My part time training buddy, Dale Norris must be the odds on favourite to win now but it's a shame Dean had to pull out as it would have been an awesome contest between those two monsters. Dean's got awesome lower body power whereas Dale's got awesome upper body power.

Dale was awesome today, he dominated the event and is now officially Wales' strongest man. I'll add more details later and I think that between myself and Justin, we've got photos of just about everything that happened but here's one of Dale resting his winner's trophy on my son's head:

I missed the squat as I was stuck in traffic with about 10,000 preston fans going to the Millenium Stadium!
Here's a picture of all the competitors, with Dean Bolt and Gary Taylor on the far right - I bet you can't spot Dale (he's the small one in the blue vest LOL)

And while we're at it, here's a picture of me, my son and the great man himself - Gary Taylor!
