Why? Haven't you heard of periodisation?

I thought you meant a point in the press you failed at (sticking point)

Do you work speed in the bench press? How often do you train it? If you fail, how far off the chest is the bar?

i train chest once a week , i do push, pull & legs not too sure on the speed bit but all lifts are controlled not rushed or bounced off chest if i fail then it,s about 15cm,s away from chest thats normally on my 4th 5th rep

Hey Rob,

You Bench 180 for 5 you probably know a fair bit yourself and have been training for a while I imagine. What have you done previously to get past a sticking point?

In that case you've been places i've yet to see! I doubt any advice I could give you would be of any help.

Good luck with it anyway. All the best.
