He's basically owning up to what we have all known for years. Boxers and any athlete at the top of his game who requires speed, power or strength has used steroids to compete with the best.
Well I should note that not everyone has or needs to use steroids, some find it un-ethical, and some are just plain genetically gifted and don't need them, but these are few and far between.

Couldn't agree more.

I agree with trying to deter young athletes from taking the big jump too early to make up for shortcomings in either their diet, training, genetics etc. but instead of trying to eliminate drugs in sports by unreliable testing, with only the smartest getting away with it, why not just leave the athlete to make up his own decision.
It always baffled me how it was ethical to use pro-hormones to enhance performance because they were legal, but steroids un-ethical and cheating because they are illegal or banned.

I wonder what the future in performance enhancement will produce. I see alterations in genetics as being plausible.
Imagine going to see a professor / professional in genetics that can give you your genetic code and how it can be improved to help you excel in your chosen sport. You agree on a price and every DNA strand is altered to perfection.
Would probably start as a cure for cancers and diseases but end up being abused by athletes.
Far fetched????...maybe, maybe not!!!
