Cheeky Girls - Good choice!
That "touch my bum" song gets me up for a big lift everytime ;)
On a series note I don't listen or need any music to train with, for the big lifts and only the big compounds I get really up for it like going into a different zone, I only do it like I ssaid for the big uns as its a waste of energy getting like that for a set of bicep curls!

Hi Del mate, It should be back some time this week. Ive just been squating with briefs on. As of late squated 260kgs on box(below parallel) for 2 sets of doubles. The week before squated 300kgs for double with briefs-fast. Bench, Ive changed a lot of things thanks to Dave B from Genesis so Im hoping for an improvement there. For deadlift pulled 290kgs fast no super suit.
How is your training going? what do you do for your deadlift?

My training is going well i have been working hard on the bench, doing alot of board press and working with bands following the westside barbell programme. On the deadlift i have been doing the Ed Coan-Mark Phillipi Dead lift routine adding in alot of speed work and deadlifts from the knee, I done 455 last from the knee. Next week i will try 455 from about 1 inch below the knee(with lifting straps). My next comp will be the GPC worlds. I would like to have ago at the GPC European squat and deadlift records.

That's awesome lifting Del, do you have any links to those deadlift routines as I'd be interested in reading about them?

Big numbers you are putting up there - Box squats hurt like a biatch. 8 sets of 3 today......

I do the Boxs squats and the Coan/Phillpi deadlift routine (precentage) on mondays and on thursdays i do squats with no box and deadlifts off blocks(some times using bands) and speed deadlifts (50-60% some times using bands) 10 sets of 1 rep with 30 seconds to 1 min rest between sets. On both days i also do lower back and abs.

I've looked at the link and it's very interesting, the only problem is that I wasn't able to download the spreadsheet to enter my own max lifts in as it looks like it may have been moved. Has anyone else managed to do that, if so, can you email me a copy please?

DEL, does this mean you are doing speedwork on Deadlift twice a week? With the Coan/Phillipi speed work after the single heavy work set on Monday and then your own light speed work (lower percentage, sometimes with bands) on Thursdays? Kind of lighter squat and heavy deads on Monday, with heavy squats and lighter deads on Thursday? Which other days do you train?

Yes i do 2 squat and dealift sessions per week. I also do a speed Dynamic Bench press session on a tuesday and a Max Effort bench session on a friday (westside barbell).
