So going into this meet i was hoping for a 750+ squat a 500+ bench and a 600+ deadlift, with my main goal being to total 1790 so i would qualify for senior nationals as i can not go to juniors due to a work conflict.

I weighed in at 241.8

In the squat i opened with 655 and blew the weight up, then i jumped to 705 and that felt fairly light too so i jumped to 755. On the first to lifts i was felt i was decending too slow so i tried to drop faster, this was a bad idea as it caused me to get to far forward on my toes, luckly i was able to correct myself and get back into the groove but i lost all my air so when i hit my sticking point on the way up i had nothing. I was happy to finally get 705 in a comp but a little dissapointed that i didn't get what im capable of.

I decided to Bench in my old shirt only and opened with a .5lbs pr of 475 and the weight flew off my chest, then i jumped to 505. I was having problems touching and so took the weight lower than normal which caused my wrist to role back a little, so when i began to press the weight came back towards my neck, luckly the spotters grabbed it and saved me from losing my head. I took 505 again but was scared to throw the weight back which caused me to stall and i didn't have enough gas in the tank to finnish the lift. Very disapointed.

So my sub total was 1180 which meant i needed to pull a 10lbs pr of 610 to hit 1790 total. I opened with 550 and then jumped to 610 and locked it out. I jumped to 630 to try and take back my state record, got it to just above my knees just couldn't lock it out.

Overall im happy with my performace, 1790total. Last year i hit 1445 so that it 345lbs on my total in 1 year!! On to seniors

inzer's z ...best with= 210kg, best without, 207.5kg

maybe im not getting them tight or maybe out the hole is not my weakness ( tends to be falling forward)

AJ, this mean ur competing against the men rather than juniors?

Unless the wraps are several years old, I think you might not be wrapping tight enough, otherwise it is mental.

How many years do knee wraps usually last?

they last years as training wraps but for meets i know guys who have a brand new pair every time. Personally i have a training set and then a meet set. I have used my meet set 9 times total and i can already tell the difference.
