i go this program off riku kiri:
Light session: squat 600lbs raw on one leg for 376reps, then actually bother to concentrate and throw another 2000lbs or so on the bar and rep til failure. BIG glenn says this ones great too.

Justin Hurley

What about following some of westsides theories?? You could swap the compound exercise every two weeks and throw in some speed days.

Chris: God no. I was messing about dude. Justin got what I was on about. Its kind of an in-joke for those that have been at this forum a long time.
Apologies to the topic poster.

It really is a shame that Powerlifter Caz and Peter Mirdjev have gave so many greats a bad name. In particular Riku Kiri.

He's a tit, his babble doesn't alter my perception of the greats. What it does do though, is question anyone who mentions there names, is it caz or not???

Every article in this section written by Lou Simmons is basically what makes up westside theory: http://www.ukmuscle.co.uk/index.php?page=3&mode=cat&cat=2

hi,
unless you would like to try something ELSE and go on the "East Side" - Read: Very HARD WORK!
Link to different approach, based on Smolov & Sheiko's theories.
I used to train along these lines. where I come from and used to train, most strength programs are based on these principles.
Anyway, have a read, interesting literature :)

+ I was looking for this one for ya - http://www.zyworld.com/powerlifting/bizontest2.htm written from coach's perspective
Very different, UNorthodox approach in "Western World" :!:

Smolov and Sheiko theories involve insane volume and frequency IMO. You either use one of their cycles to spice things up every now and again, or spend a lot of time working up the volume, even then you might find the volume doesn't suit you even if you are on huge amounts of steroids.

I squatted 250kg raw last monday @ 81kg bodwyeight very easily, I think I have 260-270kg in the tank for the comp next weekend, my squat suit is still being made so I have to squat raw in an equipped competition and I will be lucky if I make the qualifying total for the british as injuries and niggles are setting me back a bit. My squat is the only exercise that I'm totally able to do without pain atm.
At the moment I'm just doing back squats with no assistance exercises as I'm tapering down the volume so I can peak a little at this comp.
I basically follow a modified westside template that suits my recovery abilities.

I lifted in the WSA last feb down the road for you in Morriston.
The comp next weekend is in Tyseley Birmingham and it is a BPC comp.
see: http://www.ukmuscle.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4934 for details on more comps this year.
The BPC British is in June and has to be one of the best powerlifting competitions in the country, it's held in Port Talbot, which is handy for you in Swansea. Well worth a visit IMO.
The BPO British which is another great comp is being held in Port Talbot in two weeks, that would be worth a visit as well mate.
I have been powerlifting for just over two years now, but I have been lifting for longer just not powerlifting.

IPF - Is an international rule that some feds adhere to, the BPO does, they basically use 1 ply gear which has to be IPF legal - non drug tested.
BPC - Is 2 ply gear not IPF legal, basically wear want you want - non drug tested.
BWLA / BDFPA have an unequipped class and equipped class (IPF rules) but is drug tested.
WSA is affiliated with BWLA so if a member of WSA you will have to conform with the BWLA drug testing policies. For those who don't agree with drug testing, (BPC, BPO lifters) then they fall under WSU.
The WSA comp is a non political comp, all feds come together to lift, wear what you want, equippment or no equipment, Everyone is grouped into drug tested, non drug tested and equipped and unequipped.

www.irongladiators.com
Brent Mikesell and AJ Roberts will do a good job of answering all your questions on the customer service forum they have at irongladiators.com.
Depends a lot on how you squat, what suit you want 1ply or 2 ply, the material: polyester, denim or canvas.
What do you squat now??
I'm new to equipped lifting myself, so I'm no expert. You would be better to enter an unequipped comp get to speak to different people and gauge what fed you want to lift for and what suit you want to go for.
