Mine is squat.

Mine's always been the bench but I'm liking the squat more and more these days - almost to the point of prefering it over the bench. I hate the Deadlift though!

For me it's the squat, nothing like going deep in the hole!

I thought about it twice - several times, actually. Nowadays I have two favourites: bench and deadlift. Bench used to be The Lift, but in deadlift I can handle the biggest weights. And I'm sure that I'll soon make a new pb in dl. Gradually my bench is going up, too. Do you call it 'muscle memory'? I had a longer pause last autumn, and that's why my bench record is so far away. Blame the shoulder problems. But now I have been able to lift more and more, gradually increasing the weights and reaching my max day by day. But the day may not come before the track'n field season begins. The next opportunity will be spring 2006 if I'm up and about.

Katry you brought up a subject I was discussing with my training partner only last week.
You have muscle memory but how does it work with strength. It is so many more different factors controlling strength.
Is there a strength memory????
