I bought a set of lonsdale shoes to use at comp when deadlifting the other week. I used them for the first time today. They are great, no sole hardly and the heal is as low as the toe.
What is the best to squat with, high or low heel??

I think it depends on how you squat - In the end, personal preference is probably the overriding factor, but I believe the general rule is low heel for wide squatter, high heel for narrow squatters.

I am neither wide or narrow, kind of in between. I have never had a problem with using trainers, but I have trained squats with caterpillar boots on, I was positive they made it easier.
They have a high heel, but I think my stance has got wider since using, so I might have to try them and see if it makes a difference.

Just hada phone call from the missus to say that a parcel has arrived so I'll let you know what they are like tomorrow. Funnily enough, Tuesday is squat day too....
