Whats the best holiday you have ever been on. What country and why was it so good?

For me it's a toss up between two weeks I spent in Ibiza with the lads on absolute bender, which cost me £1000 in spending money. Or a week I spent in Lanzarote with the Mrs, when we were fairly new going out, and we were still well in the honey moon period.

Probably me and a mate walking the West Highland Way just before Christmas, walking 20+ miles a day with 30+kg packs in the pissing rain and freezing cold that dropped to -10 or less at night with bleeding feet, bugger all food and only about 4 hours daylight every day.

Somehow that was a far better experience than getting wasted in some nondescript part of the Algarve, although I'm not sure exactly how.

Yeah... When we got off the plane home I had to wheel my mate around Stansted on a luggage trolley 'cos his feet were so badly mangled. He was bed-ridden for the five days after that as well.

However, against all probability we really enjoyed it. Or enjoyed finishing it. I can't remember which. Either way, we did Offa's Dyke the next year with a few more mates.
