310kg for 2 reps...NICE!!!
I can't remember what you said you were aimimg for. Is it 357.5kg you have to lift to beat the record???
Come on 360kg!!!!

It's going well. I have laid back a bit on the training, I'm thinking of changing my routine and dropping the heavy deadlift session I do on a friday. It's hard work on my lower back with squatting heavy also in the same week. I might just add dynamic DL's after the heavy squat and swap it for GM's, partials every few weeks.
I'm hoping to start getting some practise in with some equipment in about two weeks when my order arrives (providing it all fits).
I'm hoping to qualify for the BPC British in June. I will probably compete on 10th April in the Midlands. Just do enough to qualify and then go balls out for the British.
I'm not 100% sure what the qualifying total is for 82.5kg, I think it's 640kg which I can do raw on a good day if I listen to the ref. So I won't worry about be an expert at using the equipment for that comp.
Be even nicer to see me as the strongest 82.5kg lifter in Britian.

I hurt my back on 270 on Saturday morning. I could hardly walk afterwards but it's easing off now. I'm thinking the same as you Justin, I mat stop trying to go heavy each andfd every deadlift session and replace them for some speed stuff instead.

Justin - I havn't spoken with Al for a long time mate, not sure what his situation is on being able to get online.
Chris - Thanks, it'll be intresting for me to see how you balance your carbs as I too would like to stay lean but continue to get strong.

Chris has got a secret weapon on his side when it comes to nutrition. It's called Flex Lewis....LOL
James and Chris make quite a team. It's really mad to think that two awesome competitors at their game, but in totally different sports (but not a million miles apart), both come from Port Talbot and happen to train together.
What's the odds in that.

Hey Chris,
That is one awesome deadlift you have there. At 24 years is quite incrediable. You say you weigh 90k - Have you ever weighed much more and how tall are you?
How often do you train deads and max out?
Thanks,
Robert

Apologies gentlemen, you are of course right!
It will be no consolation to you(as a group) but I was'nt meaning to imply anything about Chris Jenkins.
I went to the Bodybuilders site and thought "come on!".That being said I had no place slating the guy, he looks like a million bucks(he looks better than Coleman IMHO and his condition is staggering). Flex Lewis deserves better than having some weed like me slagging him off!
As for Chris Jenkins I would'nt question anything about his lifting, his Deadlifting says it all. Under Bawla conditions he would have a real shot at Ron Collin's record.
Once again my unreserved apologies!

I would bet he is also one of the most dedicated trainers around so no need to imply his success is based on anything else Seamus

Ron Collin's, now there's a lifter. The deadlift rules in bawla are the same as the rules in the congress, the only difference is the drug test and thats no problem for me. The suit I have been using lately is ipf allowed. I wouldnt mind doing a bawla comp in the near future to attempt that record. I would love to meet Ron, he's apparently around 70 at the moment and in good shape.
